Kindred at Home - Hospice recognizes the positive influence that therapy dogs can have on patients and we are currently seeking registered dog therapy teams as well as those who would like to become registered (we can help you make that happen!). Good therapy dogs are calm, able to handle sudden noises and lots of people and can be various breeds or sizes. Not to be confused with service dogs, therapy dogs help patients by simply visiting them. These special dogs have an ability to connect with and bring joy to all kinds of people, even those who are normally unresponsive or disconnected from their environments. Good therapy dogs are quick learners with loving, easy-going personalities and can stay calm in unusual or stressful situations. Kindred at Home - Hospice cares for patients all over the Miami Valley (7 counties) in private homes, nursing homes and assisted living facilities. You choose where, when and how much time you volunteer. Call 937-433-2400 for more information

Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide quality care for patients faced with a life limiting illness. The goal is to improve the quality of a person's life through pain and symptom control, emotional and spiritual support. We believe the patient and family are an integral decision making member of the Kindred Hospice Team in planning care. Hospice offers an alternative to repeat hospitalizations. Hospice affirms life. It neither hastens nor postpones death but assists the patient and family in living with a life limiting illness. Kindred Hospice regards dying as a normal process at life's end. We can provide dignity and comfort for the patient and loved ones.
