Partners in Care (PIC) is a private non-profit whose mission is to empower older adults to age in their own homes through a unique culture of service exchange. Handy men and women are needed for yard work and smaller household repairs such as handrail installation, fixing a leaking faucet, repairing/replacing toilet fixtures/doors/windows, de-cluttering and downsizing, etc. Volunteers need not be skilled in all areas -- just have a willingness to help. Description
Partners In Care is a credit exchange program designed to create community by linking older adults and with neighbors who volunteer their time to provide transportation, handyman services, and other errands. Participants may provide services, receive services, or both. Ride Partners provides mileage reimbursement to volunteer drivers.
