Volunteers are matched with first and/or second grade students at participating Orange County Public Schools (OCPS). One hour, once a week, using our research-based curriculum, volunteers help students improve their vocabulary, reading fluency, and comprehension. In addition, volunteers provide encouragement and ongoing support for the students' personal development and growth as well as passing on a love of reading.
To participate in the program, prospective volunteers are required to submit an OCPS ADDitions volunteer application, pass a background check, and attend a Read2Succeed new volunteer interest session. Please visit the Foundation for OCPS at www.foundationforocps.org for more information.
