Two-hour New Volunteer Orientation (NVO) classes review the background of the MRC, the basics of personal/family preparedness, emergency planning/response needs and public health outreach opportunities in Arlington County, and more. Mission Statement
The mission of the Arlington County Medical Reserve Corps (ACMRC) is to support the Public Health Division (PHD) in building a strong, healthy, and prepared Arlington County, Virginia community.
Description
The ACMRC is a team of community members who assist the the PHD with public health initiatives and emergency response. ACMRC members include both medical and non-medical volunteers with a wide variety of experience and skills. Trainings are offered on topics ranging from Epidemiology to Psychological First Aid. Membership is open to anyone over 18 years of age who lives or is a resident student in Arlington County .
