Christian Outreach in Action is looking for computer savvy individuals to help at our Computer Lab once a week. The lab is opening soon, and we need people who can teach basic skills, help with job searches and resume writing, and peripheral set-up.
This opportunity will be one day a week, TBD. We expect to reopen around April 10.
COA is a nondenominational, nonprofit organization that has been serving the Long Beach community since 1981. It is not a church or religious institution, but it follows faith-based teachings that provide compassionate assistance to people in need. COA is compelled by the need to feed the hungry, shelter homeless people, provide spiritual support to the emotionally vulnerable and to teach the skills necessary to reach and sustain self-sufficiency.

Mission Statement
Christian Outreach in Action (COA) is a non-denominational non-profit organization whose mission is to Transform the lives of homeless and impoverished individuals in Long Beach and Greater Los Angeles since 1981.
Description
For over 40 years, we have been a staple in the community, serving the local Long Beach and Greater LA Community experiencing economic hardship, by offering food, diapers, legal aid, Senior Programs, clothing, and more to anyone in need. We are the only agency in Long Beach that provides hot meals every day of the week, a public restroom, and a food bank five days a week. Our programs include a food bank distribution featuring fresh produce and non-perishable items, a weekly diaper giveaway, pet food, hygiene kits, clothing, household furniture and goods, public bathrooms, holiday community events, legal clinic, low-income housing units, and other essentials.
We continue to provide services and resources to low-income individuals to include the homeless, seniors, struggling mothers and families, and those who just need hope and a hand-up to gain and sustain independence. We inspire and give hope to those in need. We thank our donors and volunteers for their time and resources in helping impact so many lives - as we are not government-funded. We couldn't do this, and have such a huge impact without their time and generosity.
