Rose Garden Volunteers

Come learn rose pruning from the experts!

The Master Gardeners of Santa Clara County host our workdays every Saturday at the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden. January through the end of February they will teach you to prune roses. A short lecture will be followed by hands-on pruning. To participate, you must arrive at 8:30am.

We know many are anxious to help our parks these days, please join us as we practice safe measures of volunteerism.

Air quality projected to be "unhealthy for sensitive groups" or rain cancels the event.

We will be adhering to County Public Health recommendations and monitoring changes as they occur; please bring a mask and wear it when working within 6 feet of others.

Volunteers must be aged 18. All the supplies you'll need will be provided except for gloves, we can no longer provide these. We follow Lessons will be offered every Saturday from January 8th through February 26th unless it's raining (rain cancels this training). Sessions last from 8:30-11:30. Just show up at the rose garden shed, sign in with our contactless QR code, and learn about pruning!
