The Lace Museum is a small non-profit all-volunteer musuem located in Sunnyvale, California. It is dedicated to lace and the art of lace making. It's extensive collection of lace and historic costume is often in need of careful hand washing. Someone with patience and skill needed for caring for these treasures is needed. Training provided.
Hours are flexible, most work will be done at volunteer's own home about 10 - 20 hours per month Soap and materials will be provided.

To preserve the art of lace making, to exhibit lace and its historical use and to offer instruction in all facets of lace making.
Description
The Lace Museum is a small, all-volunteer museum located in Fremont, California. It has permanent and rotating exhibits of lace and lace making tools. Tours are offered for individuals and small groups. The collections are comprised of over 10,000 pieces of lace, lace making tools, ephemera, a library and an archive. Workshops are given both in person and virtually for beginning to experienced lace makers with teachers from around the globe. The museum supports itself through teaching, lecturing, online sales and offsite sales events.
