Looking for a fun way to spend your summer??
The Center for Enriched Living is a social enrichment and skill development community center dedicated to serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We exist so that people with developmental disabilities can be fully included in the community, achieve personal success, and enjoy a good quality of life.
We have a Summer Camp for teens and young adults, which will run Monday - Friday, June 12th - August 11th. There are 2 volunteer shifts each day: 9am-1pm and 1pm-5pm. Volunteers are required to commit to at least one shift per week for the entire 8 week session (same day and time slot each week).
Under the guidance and supervision of staff, volunteers will participate in activities and interact directly with our campers. Activities may include: arts & crafts, swimming, drama, horseback riding, cooking, and community outings.
Previous experience with people with disabilities is helpful but not required. The most important quality is a respectful, open, and enthusiastic attitude!
