Doorways for Women and Families creates pathways for women, men and children out of homelessness, domestic violence and sexual assault leading to safe, stable and empowered lives by offering emergency shelter, housing, life changing support services and community advocacy in Arlington, Virginia.
Storage volunteers help us achieve our mission by stocking and conducting inventory of non-perishable donations and keeping the storage room organized so that staff can identify our most pressing needs. If you enjoy completing set tasks and organizing spaces, this is the volunteer opportunity you've been looking for! Volunteer shifts are primarily available during weekdays (9am-5pm).

Doorways is an Arlington-based non-profit agency helping individuals and families create pathways out of homelessness, domestic violence and sexual assault leading to safe, stable and empowered lives. We envision a community where all people live free of violence and have safe and stable housing regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, age, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, abilities, language, or national origin. Through the generosity of our partners and supporters, we help our most vulnerable neighbors survive crisis, rebuild their lives, and achieve brighter futures.
