San Diego County Library's Adult ESL & Literacy Program offers the following one-on-one tutoring opportunities in all county branches.
-Teach native or non-native English speakers how to read and write, or help them improve English literacy and verbal skills.
-Help learners pass an exam (GED, HiSET, ASVAB, etc.).
Tutors and learners meet twice weekly for an hour and a half each session, and tutors are asked to commit to working with at least one learner for a minimum of six months.
If you're able to volunteer around 5 hours weekly, we encourage you to get involved, make a difference, and change a life!
