Habitat for Humanity for SLO County is looking for volunteers to work in our San Luis Obispo ReStore!
Habitat for Humanity ReStores are volunteer-run building materials and home improvement thrift stores, selling new and used items. Proceeds from the ReStore are used to fund the building of Habitat for Humanity homes and other projects in our community that help low-income homeowners. The ReStores are a critical part of Habitat and couldn't run without hundreds of volunteer hours.
Volunteers in the ReStore can fill flexible shifts with varying responsibilities. Typical volunteer shifts are from 9am-1pm and 1pm-5pm, but these can be adjusted to fit each volunteer's schedule. The Restore is open Monday through Saturday from 9am-5pm. Ideal volunteers can work a regular 4 hour shift, usually weekly or monthly. Roles include cashiering, helping customers, organizing the store, taking in donations, cleaning and preparing donations for sale.
Responsibilities may include cashiering, helping customers, pricing, organizing displays, donation intake/cleaning, and lifting materials. No prior experience needed! All volunteers receive a habitat T-Shirt. The ReStore South is located at 187 Tank Farm Road, Suite 130.
A few hours volunteering at our ReStore will help Habitat make a big impact in the community!
We'll work with your schedule.
