Reach and Rise is a 1-1 therapeutic mentoring program in which youth ages 6-18 years old is matched with an adult mentor for one year. Mentors and mentees meet (in-person and/or virtually) once a week for 1-3 hours. Some activities include going to the playground/museum/park/movies, getting food, doing arts and crafts, sports, and online gaming while checking in on what's happening in youth's life. Mentors build rapport with mentees by supporting their emotional and mental wellbeing, teaching stress management techniques, and creating first-time experiences to foster positive behavior and self-confidence.
