We are looking for volunteers to digitize and enhance the quality of our locally-produced talking books. Volunteers will work with our trained staff to carefully edit Talking Books, producing a more enjoyable reading experience for our patrons. The library will provide all necessary training and equipment. Prior experience and audio editing software skills are a plus but not required.
The Audiobook Editor is responsible for the post-production aspects of the audiobook creation process and ensures that technical standards and specifications are met.
Tasks include:
- Application of equalization, compression, noise reduction, and other audio editing tools
- Other operations within Adobe Audition or other digital recording software
- Adding navigational markers to allow end-user navigation of audiobook

Description
A free service to Coloradans of all ages who are unable to read standard print material due to visual, physical or learning disabilities whether permanent or temporary. CTBL provides audio, Braille and large-print books and magazines. We have served readers in Colorado since 1931as a member of the network libraries in the National Library Service for the Blind - Library of Congress. CTBL received the Colorado Association of Libraries (CAL) Library of the Year Award for 2017. CTBL was named the Library of Congress - National Library Service for the Blind and Disabled Library of the Year.
