Boys and Girls Club is looking for volunteers to assist staff with after school activities for their members. These activities may include tutoring and mentoring the children, game room supervisor, gym supervisors and other opportunities. Volunteers are encouraged to engage the children in basketball or card games or other areas of interest to the children while serving as a positive role model.
Volunteer's must fill out an volunteer application and have a background check, which is paid for by Boys and Girls Club. Volunteers must be a positive role model for the members of the Boys and Girls Club and volunteers should love working with children and have patience. Volunteer opportunities are available Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The mission of the Jackson County United Way is to continually assess the needs of the people of Jackson County and improve their quality of life by raising and allocating funds for human care and developmental programs.
The Jackson County United Way Volunteer Action Center was created in November of 2010 to connect the volunteers of Jackson County to the agencies who are in need of their skills and services.
