Mission Statement

The Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC) harnesses the expertise of individuals over 50 who have the passion and commitment to direct their attention to issues impacting their region. Service Corps Members use their time and experience to give back and make a difference. Description

IVC works in partnership with hundreds of community partner organizations. These nonprofit organizations provide IVC Service Corps Members with substantive work to serve individuals who have slipped through this country’s safety net. And hundreds of community organizations are on waiting lists to get an IVC corps member.

IVC corps members are supported in their Christian faith by IVC’s unique spiritual reflection program. Through their caring service and the relationships they build, members heal communities and create a more just society.
