Feline Rescue volunteers currently offer free (w/donations appreciated) nail clippings services for cats and kittens at Chuck and Don's Pet Food & Supplies at the following locations:
St. Paul - Highland Park
Minneapolis - Calhoun Village
Woodbury (currently needs 1-2 volunteers)
Plymouth - East
Minneapolis - NE
Plymouth - beginning January 2020
If there is a volunteer(s) interested, it is possible the following Chuck & Don's locations will be interested in hosting a nail clipping clinics:
* Bloomington * North Oaks * Eagan * Chanhassen * Cottage Grove * Forest Lake
The Cat Claw Clipping Clinics are held once a month, typically on a Saturday or Sunday, at each location for 1 1/2 - 2 hours. In addition to clipping cats' nails, the volunteers offer tips to owners on nail clipping and information on the best scratching posts/surfaces.
There is a current need at the Chuck & Don's Woodbury store. There is a clinic already established with a number of cats brought in regularly. Their owners rely on the volunteers to clip the cats' nails.
If you have experience in clipping cats' nail and are comfortable in doing so and also interacting with their owners, this may be the volunteer position for you.
At times a sub may be needed for a specific location. If you are interested in becoming a person to contact when there is a need for a sub at one or more of the current locations; or if you would be interested in committing to a regular 1 1/2 -2 hour clinic, please fill out an application on Feline Rescue's website:
