Many opporotunities such as gift shop cashier, patient transport, visiting and delivering mail. A Volunteer is also needed to work in the Volunteer Office one day per week for 1-3 hours. Various departments need "on-call" volunteers. Call RSVP for more details.

Description
Volunteers make a difference!
AmeriCorps Seniors of Steuben County provides opportunities for people ages 55 and over to make a significant impact in their communities through volunteering. Volunteers contribute anywhere from a few hours a month to over 40 hours a week serving in their communities. Opportunities to serve include volunteering at local hospitals and nursing homes, schools, food pantries, public safety programs, and other nonprofit agencies and organizations. RSVP staff assist volunteers in sharing their experience, abilities and skills for the betterment of the community and themselves. Volunteer orientation, on-site training, supplemental insurance (while on duty), and mileage reimbursement are free services available for RSVP volunteers.
