The Center for Community Resources is seeking Volunteer Tax Preparers for our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. As a VITA volunteer, you will receive 16 hours of IRS approved training and work with low to moderate income individuals and families to prepare their returns. Once trained, we ask that you take 1 shift a week for 3 hours, and additional shifts are available if you are!
All volunteers receive full staff support at their assigned site. Volunteer preparer opportunities are available at our downtown Butler office, as well as Cranberry, Slippery Rock University, and Kittanning.
As little as a few hours a month can make a huge difference in a someone's life. Evening, weekend and daylight hours available for volunteers.
