The UNICEF Tap Project is a nationwide campaign that provides the world's children access to safe, clean water. During World Water Week, March 20-26, 2011, restaurants across the United States will encourage patrons to donate $1 or more for the tap water they usually enjoy for free. In tandem, UNICEF Tap Project Volunteers will be supporting their efforts by conducting local fundraising events and activities. Thousands of restaurants, dining patrons, students and volunteers, along with corporate, community, celebrity and governments supporters have made the UNICEF Tap Project a powerful national movement.

In 2011, the UNICEF Tap Project aims to raise awareness of the world water crisis, and garner support to help the millions of children it impacts daily. With the commitment of 5,000 volunteers, 1,000 participating restaurants and 500 local events and activities, the UNICEF Tap Project will continue to save children's lives, keeping water at the head of the movement to reach the day when no child dies of a preventable cause.
