Good Samaritan Readers is a one-on-one reading program for at-risk readers. We pair struggling readers in the first grade with a committed mentor who works with the student for one hour each week from October 2016 to June 2017. Students are enrolled in our program from the first through third grade. The relationship that develops between the tutor and the student is transformative and is critical for driving academic success.
We are looking for reading mentors for grades 1-3 students for the 2016-2017 school year at a few elementary schools. Tutoring sessions will be held for one hour between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. during the school week.
Time Commitment: An hour every week until June 2017
