American Cancer Society/PhillyPatientRide - drive cancer patients to/from treatment appts
27 people are interested
Volunteers Needed (daytime hours, weekdays - a few hours per month or per week would be greatly appreciated)!
Sometimes the greatest challenge a cancer patient faces is getting to their treatments. That's why the American Cancer Society and EnterpriseCarShare have partnered together for PhillyPatientRide, a program that provides free transportation to patients who may have no other way of getting to their life-saving appointments.
Volunteers will be trained and have access to EnterpriseCarShare's fleet of vehicles to use to provide transportation to participating area hospitals and treatment centers.
Interested volunteers need only a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, a few hours per month and the drive to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients here in Philadelphia.
Volunteers need to be available during the daytime hours, weekdays only.
Training programs available.
