Mission Statement
Hope Hospice provides compassionate, quality care to patients at the end of life.
Description
Hope Hospice is a non-profit agency serving the Tri-Valley region of the San Francisco East Bay Area and neighboring cities. We care for patients in private homes, assisted living communities, and skilled nursing facilities and provide care regardless of a patient's insurance status or ability to pay. Volunteers provide immeasurable support to Hope's patients and families, and we will work with you to find an assignment near your home or work neighborhood.
Even the simplest of gestures - reading to or talking with someone - has a meaningful impact. There are many ways for you to contribute your time and talents. Some examples:
- Visiting with patients in your local community
- Giving family caregivers much-needed relief
- Pet therapy
- Music therapy
- Massage
- Supporting the work of Hope by helping in the office
- Assisting with Hope’s dementia care education program
- Facilitating grief support programs
- Bedside vigil
We also present family caregiver education classes, dementia care classes, and grief support services at no cost to anyone in the community who needs help, even if their loved one is not one of our patients.
