Use your photography skills to promote the library. Your images can help connect residents with all the services offered at the East San Jose Carnegie Branch. Meet and work with a diverse group of people as you:

  • Photograph one or more library events per month
  • Collect and organize model release forms from people photographed
  • Select and edit photographs to be used for library marketing purposes
  • Email photographs to staff so that they can upload them to the library's Flickr account

Description

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
