ORGANIZATION: Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue, Inc.

  • 10 people are interested

Brookline Lab Rescue is a Foster Home based Rescue without a Kennel Facility. We are always in need of volunteers! There are so many ways that you can help including fundraising, administrative tasks, home evaluations, dog evaluations and PR. Training is provided in all areas.

After training, volunteers will go out to an applicant's home and talk with the prospective adopters about what kind of dog they are looking for and talk to them about what Labs BLRR has available.

At the same time, the volunteer will evaluate the home environment to make sure that it is appropriate for the kind of Lab the people are interested in. Volunteers ask questions like, "How will you exercise the dog?", "Where will your dog sleep?" and "What will you do if your new dog doesn't get along with your cat?"

Our goal is always to make sure the dog and home are a good fit.

Brookline volunteers from New Jersey to Penn State and Allentown to Delaware communicate via e-mail on a closed group site creating a community that can offer suggestions and support.
