Berkeley Reads Adult & Family Literacy Program Volunteer tutors work one-to-one with adult literacy students, helping them improve their basic reading and writing skills, and achieve their learning goals. Additional volunteer opportunities include:
Family Literacy Outreach Assistants - Conduct monthly/weekly storytimes at local preschools.
Basic Math tutor - Familarity with basic math. Ability to teach basic math to students in a small group setting.
Health Literacy - Provide assistance in monthly workshops and outdoor gardening classes.
Instructional Computer Lab tutor - One on one assistance in basic computer skills & literacy software.
