The International Institute of the Bay Area is a nonprofit organization serving the immigrant community since 1918. Our Redwood City Office serves over 4,000 people per year with legal immigration and citizenship services, promotion of civic participation, and education about the rights of immigrants. We are seeking volunteers to assist in with our citizenship workshops.

VOLUNTEER DESCRIPTION:

IIBA offers monthly citizenship application workshops, to inform the community regarding the naturalization process, and assist eligible clients to apply for US Citizenship. Workshops are generally held monthly on Tuesday mornings in Redwood City. Volunteers will interpret for Spanish-speaking clients and pro bono attorneys who help them to complete the 20-page citizenship application form.

With 7 offices across 6 Bay Area counties, IIBA reaches 10,000 people a year with immigration legal services, citizenship preparation classes, workshops and information sessions. Founded in 1918, IIBA celebrates over 100 years of serving diverse immigrant communities throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
