Halloween in the Park

This fall, Honeymoon Island State Park will undergo an amazing transformation, going from cheerful, sun-filled nature park to a spooky haunted trail complete with ghouls, goblins, and ghosts--but it can't happen without the help of a dedicated volunteers.

The dates for the event are; Friday, October 25th and Saturday, October 26th. The event promises to be a safe and fun way for families to celebrate Halloween. We especially need volunteers to help with parking and games. We also need scare-actors to participate in the Haunted House and scenes along the Scary Trail. Volunteers are encouraged but not required to wear a costume. Proceeds will benefit the "Honeymoon and Caladesi Island State Parks." Past proceeds have paid for items such as a beach wheelchair for visitors and radios to assist rangers in their jobs.

The event starts promptly at 6:00 PM Friday and Saturday night. Please arrive by 5:00 PM to receive directions and we will also have burgers, chips and drinks for the volunteers.
