Portland Volunteers Needed for Spanish Transcription

Our Advocacy Department conducts focus groups as part of the Voices Project and we need your help! We are looking for volunteers who are fluent in Spanish and can commit to a weekly or bi-weekly schedule of 3-4 hours at a time. Volunteers will listen to the audio recordings from each focus group and transcribe the dialogue. Each focus group takes on average 10-15 hours to transcribe. After transcription is completed, it will need to be translated from Spanish into English.

When: Weekly shifts available Mondays thru Fridays, 9am-5pm

Where: Oregon Food Bank - (7900 NE 33rd Dr., Portland OR 97211)

Requirements:

- Fluent in Spanish

- At least 18 years old

- This position requires sitting for extended periods, typing and using a foot peddle and ear phones.

Through the Voices Project, Oregon Food Bank's Advocacy Department will bring attention to the stories of Oregonians facing hunger in order to better accomplish our mission of eliminating hunger and its root causes. To learn more about the Advocacy Department, visit their webpage here.
