Youth mentors meet with young people to share activities, experience, help with homework and provide general guidance. Mentors meet one - to - on with children age 8 - 15 to form a positive partnership benefiting both the child and the mentor. The Mentoring Partnership seeks to strengthen youth through increasing opportunities for positive interactons with adults. Mentors attend extensive training and complete a background check before being matched with a young person. Each match is based on specific needs, compatible interests, talents, resources and geographic location.

Make a Difference in Your Community!
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, day care centers, police departments, hospitals and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of people age 55 and over with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
