Spend the afternoon in the kitchen assist our cooking instructor with adaptive cooking classes and kitchen safety for blind and visually impaired adults. Examples of responsibilities include: supervising student using kitchen utensils, assist with any food prep, and sighted guide around the room. Passion for helping others and interest in the kitchen is highly desirable. No experience necessary. Call us at 858-404-5009.

Thursday 1:00-2:00pm April 19th - July 26, 2018

Braille Institute offers a variety of services to people who are blind and visually impaired, from mobility and technology training, to low vision rehabilitation and home visits, to arts and exercise classes, to a vast library of braille and audio titles for every age, and more. Each year, we help tens of thousands of people regain and maintain their independence. Thanks to generous donations, Braille Institute services are available free of charge.
