Volunteers are needed to serve as a warm and knowledgable face in our Multicultural Center. This department offers a broad range of mental health, social, educational, health and language services to vulnerable families of very diverse backgrounds. This opportunity supports the Front Office Coordinator in day-to-day operations.

Volunteers Duties:

  • Greet all clients and visitors as they arrive and answer questions when able
  • Ensure visitors sign in and direct them to the appropriate departments for assistance
  • Answer phones, fielding questions and directing callers to appropriate extensions
  • Assist with staff projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Strong verbal communication skills geared towards a culturally diverse clientele
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Sound judgment and patience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable taking initiative and following directions
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, including Excel
