About Met Council on Housing:

Met Council is dedicated to the belief that everyone deserves a decent, safe, and affordable home, and organizes tenants to be the force behind achieving this reality. We have been at the forefront of the housing movement for the past half century. We work to combat displacement at the individual level through our tenant help hotline and clinic while bringing tenants together in citywide campaigns to fight for structural changes to solve the affordable housing crisis for current and future generations.

About the position:

Through our Tenant Help Hotline, you will help thousands of tenants across New York City who call in with their housing issues. You will inform tenants of their rights and ensure they are not taken advantage of by predatory landlords and management companies. Volunteers quickly become very knowledgable about tenants' rights and the housing landscape in New York City.

No prior knowledge or experience is necessary as training will be provided. Spanish speakers are needed!
