About

Volunteers are needed in local schools for Project FOCUS after school program sites. The Project FOCUS sites are in the school systems of White Cloud, Hesperia, Hart, Walkerville, and Muskegon Heights. Project FOCUS is an out-of-school program that implements mentoring, civic engagement, high adventure, and academic enrichment activities. Volunteers must have a friendly and outgoing personality and enjoy working with children. If you have a special skill you would like to share or would just like to help them with their homework once a week, our youth programs need your help!

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Pass a background check
  • Preferred: Previous experience with children

Time Commitment: Programming occurs from 3:15pm-5:15pm Monday-Thursday during the school year. Field trips and other projects may occur on different days. Volunteers commit to at least one day a week from 3:15pm-5:15pm.
