Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for kittens, too!
We have several weekday opportunities to serve breakfast to our kittens at our 'Charter School', located within the Petco at Westwood & Missouri.
In addition to feeding, volunteers tidy, scoop, provide general care and tutor kittens on proper pet deportment (socialization and play)! You'll also share the organization's story and answer questions about the students or adoption process. All training is provided! Opportunity open to individuals or pairs (space is limited), and weekly shifts are fairly flexible. Each breakfast shift lasts 1.5 - 2 hours, and can begin anytime between 7 and 9:30 am. At present we are looking for Monday and Friday breakfast Tutors.
For the late risers, we also have opportunities to help with dinner on Friday evenings! Also flexible, Tutors arrive anytime between 5 & 7 pm, spending 1.5-2 hours with the kittens.
Kitty Bungalow is California's only 100% feral cat rescue and socialization facility. As shelter interventionists, we focus our attention on the most vulnerable of felines. At the Charm School we break down the anxiety of feral cats with our nearly 100 volunteers who use guided socialization techniques and 'lesson plans', taking these street cats from 'hiss to home'. Kittens who have completed their lesson plans and are ready for adoption are enrolled in our Charter School, where they polish their pet skills and find forever homes! Our rescue is more than just finding homes for the homeless; we are working at the root of the problem, also providing broad based Trap Neuter Return (TNR) and free spays and neuters to neighborhoods in need within Los Angeles.

About Kitty Bungalow:Charm School For Wayward Cats
Martin Luther King Jr., Los Angeles,, CA 90062, US
To reduce the feline overpopulation problem in South Los Angeles through the proven Trap-Neuter-Return program coupled with the socialization and adoption of the felines we catch who are eligible for Charm School.
We are dedicated to the rescue, socialization and rehoming of stray cats in South LA. Our goal is to ramp up the Trap, Neuter, Return programs in that area and try and nip the inevitable cat explosion in the bud. If we don't do something and get people involved, the 8000 cats that will go unfixed this year will become 60,000 within the next 18 months. That is a lot of cats...
We'll work with your schedule.
