Purpose, impact, giving back... things that give life meaning. If you are looking for a way to do that, why not consider hospice volunteering? At Evercare Hospice and Palliative Care, our goal is to create a volunteer opportunity that utilizes your skills, talents and interests while supporting our patients. It is a win for all!
As a hospice volunteer, you are part of a professional team that supports people with life limiting illness and six months or less to live. This may also include support of family.
How that looks may be different for each patient. It could be:
- Companionship
- Pet Visits
- Bereavement Volunteer
- Faith Volunteer
- Caregiver Support
Evercare is a community-based hospice - traveling to skilled nursing facilities and private homes across St. Louis and surrounding areas. Assignments are close to home or work. Hours are flexible, based on your availability. Average is 4-8 hours per month, including travel time.
Comprehensive and flexible training is provided for new volunteers to ensure appropriate skills and volunteer confidence.

We serve patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families through an integrated team approach, providing expertise in medical, social, spiritual and bereavement counseling during a uniquely personal time of transition.
