The Area Agency on Aging of North Central Texas has a need for individual volunteers, couples or teams of two to advocate for residents in assisted living facilities in Collin and Denton Counties. Volunteers are asked to make a one year commitment, are assigned to one or more assisted living communities and asked to visit residents at least twice a month. Free comprehensive training is provided. As volunteer Ombudsmen, you will serve as advocates for residents, connecting them to their broader communities, affirming their rights, and assisting them in resolving concerns.
