After School Mentor and Tutor (Austin)

Love working with kids? Come share a little of your time at St. Joseph Services. We are an organization that provides educational services to youth in the Austin and Humboldt Park community. Our Austin After School Program runs Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

We offer gratifying opportunities helping with youth from pre-k through 8 th grade complete their homework and take part in fun enrichment activities. As a tutor you will gain experience working with youth through homework help and mentorship. You will find it rewarding to help the students grow, not only intellectually, but socially.

Needs:

Though we are looking for help in the after school program in general, We have a special need for help in our after school tutoring program Mon - Thurs.

REQUIREMENTS:

Responsible and enthusiastic

Accepting of other cultures and beliefs

Experience working with youth preferred, but not necessary

Complete one time VIRTUS and Online Mandated Reporter Training (free)

Pass a background check

Minimum six month commitment, with at least three hours per week

Provide a copy of resume and two professional references

Over 18 years old
