Greenburgh Nature Center is currently looking for adult volunteers to assist with animal care and engaging public visitors in our live animal museum! Weekday availability (Mon-Thurs) a must! There are morning (9-1pm) AND afternoon (1-4:30pm) shifts open.
Morning volunteers help to clean cages and tanks and provide fresh water for our indoor collection of small reptiles, amphibians, mammals, and birds. Once the nature center opens to the public, morning and afternoon volunteers present these animals to visitors to see up close and touch. As well as inform them about our animal collection.
Willingness to work with ALL of our animals, including our invertebrates, snakes, and lizards is not necessary but certainly a plus! On site training is provided.
