The Daughters of Isis Foundation is looking for a dynamic professional to assist with development.

The volunteer/intern will have strong organizational, writing and problem solving skills. Must be detailed oriented and an effective communicator with strong computer skills (Microsoft work, excel, Internet research nd PowerPoint)

Individual must be flexible, team player with a willingness to take on new and varied tasks to achieve organization's mission.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Developing and maintaining individual donor program.

Creating and maintaing donor database, acknowledging and reporting on gifts and donations received.

Attending trainings on grat guidelines and deadlines.

Assisting in the writing, editing and distribution of grant request and proposals.

Managing fund raising related correspondence.

Conducting prospectus research on individuals, organizations, corporations and foundations.

Developing styrategies for approaching foundations and corporations.

Maintaining files and doing reports oof foundations and corporations approached and grant requirements.

Assisting in organizing and implementing fund raising events.

Assisting with financial reporting of all gifts and donations.

My Daughters Journery, is an emerging nonprofit organization seeking volunteers to assist with administrative support, outreach, marketing, research, fund development, program support, website design and maintenance to work with our Young Queens Passage Program.

We believe that when a community is aware about the issues surrounding them, it gives the community a chance to come together and work on its stagnation. This is what My Daughters Journey provides. Empowerment in giving young women the tools to contribute to their communities and society as a whole. By proving services such as workshops/seminars on self-esteem & development, health and wellness, financial literacy, anger management & resolution, case management, scholarship assistance program, clothing & food pantry assistance, advocacy and referrals.

We further believe that one person can be that difference. The difference between our community lacking hope and having unlimited possibilities of health, education, housing, jobs and training.
