CISP Volunteer Mentors make a difference!

Start 2023 school year with a great volunteer opportunity that will make a difference in the life of a child!
Our volunteer reading mentors work one-on-one with 1st-3rd grade children on improving reading and comprehension skills. This is aimed at helping children achieve success in both school by providing attention and support from caring adult mentors.

The program meets every Tuesday afternoon from 4-5:00 pm, and is facilitated by a Program Coordinator.

No special skills needed except to be able to read and love children!

Communities In Schools of Peninsula (CISP) is the nation's leading drop-out prevention program, and has helped thousands of children stay in school and aim for a brighter future!

Description

Communities In Schools of Peninsula (CISP) serves children and families residing within the boundaries of Peninsula School District (Key Peninsula/Gig Harbor). CISP partners with the schools and local community agencies to provide programs and services that alleviate the barriers impeding the learning of our youth.
