Put your organizational skills to good use! We are in need of a Volunteer Site Coordinator. This volunteer position requires availability of 4-7 hours weekly, including Thursdays 7:30 am - 11:30 am. In this position, your main responsibility is to coordinate our wonderful team of volunteers for the weekly packing and delivery of meals, and various office tasks that keep Meals on Wheels humming along on schedule. In a pinch, the Coordinator can fill in for any member of the Meals on Wheels team, including delivering meals to clients. Training for this position is provided.
Qualifications: Keen on accuracy, a sense of humor, and a commitment to the well-being of homebound seniors. As a Meals on Wheels volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.
Requirements: Complete an application. Consent to a background check. Be able to lift 15lbs. Be at least 24 years of age or better. Have a Washington State driver’s license and auto insurance. This is an ongoing, weekly commitment.

Established in 1967, we support almost 54,000 older adults, disabled persons, and those who care for them annually in King County.

Our eleven programs operating throughout numerous community and senior center sites are constantly striving to expand the provision of food security, transportation, health & wellness, and assistance services to under served and marginalized populations. We are committed to helping all people, especially those in low-income communities and communities of color, obtain the services they need while feeling included and respected in a community that affirms aging.
