Volunteers Change Lives!
Volunteers bring joy to our residents.

  • Take residents out to eat individually or as a group,
  • Bring meals in,
  • Take residents out for activities (ex. movies, bowling, rides etc.),
  • Provide movies for residents to watch,
  • Play games (Bingo, Cards, UNO, Trouble, etc.) with residents,
  • Visit,
  • Collect items off of wishlist (see website),
  • Group projects around house as needed.

Under 18 - must have parent consent.

Mission Statement

House of Mercy was established in 1991 by the Sisters of Mercy to provide a home and compassionate nursing care to persons living with AIDS who can no longer care for themselves. Residents are accepted with unconditional love and are cared for 24 hours a day by highly trained nurses and caregivers.

Description

At House of Mercy, care is provided to each resident based on his or her special needs and desires. Services provided to residents in addition to a private room and meals include assistance obtaining medications; coordination of ancillary services such as physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy; coordination of doctor visits; and resident recreation.
