We are looking for a volunteer who is interested in learning the intricacies of fundraising for a major Gala event at a small New York based non-profit organization. The position will include calling past donors and new perspective donors to solicit participation and donations. There will also be the opportunity to become involved with seating arrangements and other Gala related planning. We would like someone with strong inter-personal skills, communication skills (especially over the phone), and someone who is very organized.
The volunteer would need to be able to commit at least 8 hours a week but could work as many as 35 hours a week. The position will last until the Gala on November 1, 2010.
