Como Park Zoo and Conservatory is seeking hundreds of volunteers to help with ZooBoo. It's a non-scary Halloween festival for young children and families. Como Zoo will transform into a world of fairy tales and fun! More than 200 costumed volunteers will entertain and interact with children of all ages on Oct. 22, 23, 29, and 30. Proceeds from the event benefit two of Minnesota's most treasured year-round attractions, Como Zoo and Marjorie McNeely Conservatory.
Persons who are at least 17 years of age and can volunteer for late afternoon or evening shifts are needed to wear fun costumes provided by Como, greet and entertain young children and families, or pass out Halloween treats. Also needed are many non-costumed volunteers for event support positions.
Individuals, families and groups are encouraged to volunteer. Pre-registration and event orientation are required. If you can, please volunteer for more than one night!
Registration opens September 1st, 2016. Register online at www.ComoZooConservatory.org/support/volunteer or for more information and to request a paper application call the Como Volunteer Services office at
