Volunteers wanted to teach English to Latino immigrants in Northern New Jersey.
Classes start October 3. Volunteers teach one, three-hour class a week for ten weeks. All classes are on Sundays. Previous teaching experience is not necessary, only commitment, ability and a desire to teach.
Some of the higher level classes can be taught without a knowlege of Spanish, but we have a particular need at present for Spanish speakers, even those with a basic knowledge.
Comite En Union para Salvadorenos (CEUS) is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization based in Union City, NJ that was founded by Central American refugees. See our website www.ceusnj.org. CEUS has organized ESL classes for 14 years.
