Classroom Volunteer (Early Childhood)

Art With a Heart is seeking volunteers for our early childhood programming during the day in various local schools. The winter/spring session runs for 10 weeks January through April 2020. Art With a Heart's programs provide access to visual art experiences that support the development of essential academic and life skills for the youngest learners.

Early childhood classroom volunteers will work directly in a classroom, with the teacher and an AWaH staff member present, to integrate art with learning. No art or teaching experience is required. All needed training will be provided. These classroom volunteers will help prepare and clean up supplies, assist the teacher, and lead mini-lessons for early childhood students in small groups. Classes are during the school day, one day a week for up to 90 minutes. We ask that each volunteer commit to at least 5 days of programming.
