Volunteer coaches provide instruction to youth and adult golfers of various skill levels. Novice golfers work on the putting green perfecting fundamental skills. As golfers acquire appropriate skills and course etiquette, they may move onto the course. Golf coaches may partner with athletes in 9 hole alternate shot competition, may coach or caddy for athletes competing independently in 9 or 18 hole tournament play. Practices are Wednesdays, 5:45-7p at Occoneechee golf course in Hillsborough.

SOOC offers 18 sports year-round to more than 300 athletes of all ages and skill levels with developmental disabilities.
