The Center provides 3 balanced meals to our clients, up to 14, everyday. Because we do not have a kitchen, the purchase of these meals from an off-site location is an ongoing cost. We always welcome volunteers (usually 3-5 per group) to prepare, deliver, serve and share a meal. In addition, it is very helpful if disposabble eating supplies (forks, knives, spoons, plates, napkins, cups) can be provided by the volunteer group. Everyone loves a home cooked meal and our clients appreciate the meals shared with our volunteers more than you can imagine!
If you are not able to prepare and share a meal, consider dropping off a meal purchased from local restaurant for our clients to enjoy. Our grateful staff will serve it gladly!

Description
The Center for Respite Care is a 14-bed 24-hour facility providing medical and nursing care to sick homeless people to promote effecive healing. Patients receive quality, holistic medical care and assistance in breaking the cycle of homelessness.
The recovery period at the Center for Respite Care also provides an ideal opportunity to begin the critical first phase of treatment for debilitating health conditions for patients who might otherwise fall through the cracks.
