Are you a member of a temple, church, synagogue or other religious organization? We are looking for people to generate awareness in churches, temples, etc, of the dire need for safe water in West Africa and what Wells Bring Hope is doing to solve this problem. We want persons to identify and approach religious communities that may be interested in initiating fundraising campaigns for Wells Bring Hope. This is an excellent opportunity for you to practice your speaking & communications skills.

Skills:

• Ability to use Internet to see our website and videos
• Comfortable speaking to people you don’t know well
• Available 1-2 hours per month

• Connect with your religious institution and make aware how Wells Bring Hope changes lives by drilling wells and providing microfinance support (we will provide videos, brochures, & other information, as well as talk to you on the phone about how you can help)
• Encourage your organization to establish Water Circles to track their donations to Wells Bring Hope

Wells Bring Hope is committed to drilling wells that bring safe water and sanitation to rural villages in Niger - the poorest country in the world. Since our inception in 2008, we have funded over 583 wells - transforming the lives of more than half a million people, the majority of them children. We view the drilling of a well as the first step in reversing a downward spiral of poverty. Working with our partner, World Vision, we provide 15+ years of education in sanitation, hygiene, and well maintenance for each village where we drill a well. We also provide microfinance education and support to help women in these villages to start their own businesses. We do not just drill a well and leave; we aim for significant, permanent change in every village.
