Summary of Responsibilities:

Coaches work alongside small groups of entrepreneurs in our two 8-week Business Basics Courses. Coaches help the groups become more familiar with the business concepts they learn in class, and guide them in applying those concepts to their specific businesses and situations.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Attend Basic Business Courses for the first 6 out of the 8 weeks.
  • Help small groups learn the concepts taught in the classes, and apply those concepts to their businesses.
  • Keep trainers informed of group's progress.

Time Commitment:

Approximately 3 hours a week for an 6-week course cycle for one Spanish Business Basics Courses that will be held during the following dates and times:
  • Volunteer Orientation: Monday, January 31, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. via Zoom
  • Spanish Business Basics Course (Virtual): Thursday evenings starting February 24 - April 14 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. via Zoom

Ventures is a Seattle-based nonprofit that empowers aspiring entrepreneurs with limited resources--and unlimited potential. We provide access to business training, capital, coaching and hands-on learning opportunities for entrepreneurs.

We serve those in our community for whom traditional business development services are out of reach, with a focus on women, people of color, immigrants, and individuals with low income. Our ultimate goal is to support individuals to increase their income potential, achieve long-term financial stability, and provide for their families, and enrich their communities through small business ownership.
